Slouch boots - a girls must have for winter

It has certainly been boot weather lately. If, like me you get cold feet, boots are your best friend. It is funny what boots you end up running to most days. I find myself regularly grabbing my pair of kmb slouchy leather boots. Definitely gaining great cost-per-wear on these.

Don't be frightened to wear these, worn correctly they give a comfy, casual appeal to any outfit. Without looking sloppy. And, did I say they are comfy too. Also, very kind for wider calves.

Into summer with a dress.

If they are good enough for Princess Kate, well ! Very handy addition to your boots collection. From what I can see around the fashion noo-whos, slouch boots are getting bigger all the time. We have other styles in store that have this feel to them. So check out the website , or facebook or even webstagram . To see other boots we have xx

Andy Warhol - Shoe Art before the Pop - History

Everyone would know Andy Warhol for his famous pop art pictures, which are depicted all over the place. Probably most memorable is the Campbell's Soup Tin Series or his Marilyn Monroe works.
What most don't know, is that he began his paid work drawing shoes.
Warhol spent most of his early years  working as an illustrator of magazines, books and advertisements to pay the rent. He moved to New York in 1949 and some of his most successful works were for the company I. Miller and Sons. In the mid 50's Warhol held two exhibitions in New York, to help him be recognised as a serious artist. One was of erotic male nudes and the other was of golden slippers, richly and ornately decorated.

He continues to be acknowledged for his works. Most recently at the Hong Kong Museum of Art, which held a exhibition of his works from  the 50's through to the 80's .

Here are some images of his shoe drawings.
