One Outfit Three Boots - winter boot looks

So this is one outfit, with three different pairs of boots. I also wore versions of this outfit through summer, which I am using to transition into winter by adding boots. As it gets colder I will add scarves and jackets as well.
I have tried to balance out the cost of the outfit by purchasing a designer top and combining this with a lower priced chain store pant, and then some great footwear. My pants were $39, the top was $120. This might be out of your price range but these days, if you shop around you can get great prices, from the likes of Myer and other smaller boutique stores, on some designer styles.
My golden rule is : if you team your lower priced item with a designer piece, the overall finished look still comes up great. Making the cost more manageable and retaining a quality feel to the finished look.
Fashion and footwear may not be your cup of tea. If you want to find your "mojo", this season is a particularly good one to go on that adventure in.

These boots start at $220.

Black basic with a slightly higher heel, handy in any wardrobe.

These Bertuchi nude suede wedge are oozing class and are so comfortable/

Tan is huge this season. I would have to say that this is one of the best tan leathers I have seen come in store. As an added bonus, these are the beautiful little Martini Marcos.

Lots more tips and style images to come - loving this winter. Lots of colour and great fashion xxx

Winter Boots - how to wear them

Hey ladies, well it has just started to get a little cooler in my neck of the woods. So bring on boots and scarves - woop woop. Even though I have many many boots, I still find it hard the first time I wear them for the season.
It is not totally cold so I combine my summer clothes with the boots (because my feet always get cold first). When you do this, the outfit doesn't feel balanced. This is partly because you have had summer shoes on for so long and partly because - it kind of isn't balanced. So, in the outfit below I have a pair of long capri pants and a light silky shirt. When I first put the boots on with it I felt really exposed or off-balanced around the neck, or top of the outfit. So I grabbed out all my scarves and started playing. I decided on this light thin scarf to feel a bit warmer and finish off the look.

So this is my first day out in boots for the season. Very comfy these are, and a great colour. I will be posting lots more looks for this winter and how to make them yours. Also some tips on how to wear boots (your way). Stay tuned xx
